Though I’m still not sold entirely on the nostalgic beach imagery sopping from his work, I’ve got to admit Friends’ demo for “Anyone Like You” sees the beach-music-via-bedroom artist boasts a pretty catchy melody. The fuzzy corners aren’t contributing much but they also aren’t getting in the way, allowing that sweet guitar line and those bouncy vocals to shine just enough. The whole demo sounds like a slightly more upbeat Girls’ song, which isn’t a bad look for Friends. Listen below.
